Birrificio Barley was an idea started by two partners: Isidoro Mascia and Nicola Perra.

Barley opened its doors in 2006 in Maracalagonis (CA). It is a small craft brewery with the creative idea of producing beers that would be served on tables in parallel to wine.

The three beers that Barley brews throughout the year are Friska, Sella del Diavolo and Toccadibo. However the two partners continue to expand and experiment with a range of products linked to their locale in Sardinia for seasonal availability. For example the wort of Cannonau grapes from their vineyard, organic honey from local bee-keeping, and more.

The recipes created by brewer Nicola Perra gained a great reputation very quickly and were soon used as reference in courses by sommeliers for AIS and ONAV.

The almost maniacal attention to the high quality of products has made it possible to successfully make very high quality beers meant for top restaurants and fine stores.
